Viigo 3.0 Beta Project Tango-Review

I know it’s a few days late, but here is my review of Viigo’s new 3.0 beta Project Tango.  Sadly we are not important enough yet to get our own branded version like BerryReview, Pinstack, or Crackberry, etc but we are working on that.  So, this new “Project Tango” is the new updated version of the Viigo RSS/mobile content reader.

As you can see, the new version has a few new layout features;  first off, on the home screen you have a list of all the categories, such as news and RSS feeds, you can populate these by simply clicking on the category and searching through the featured feeds or you can add your own by entering in a URL in the menu.  This is way more convenient than the last version which you had to go through a few windows to figure out how to add feeds and find feeds(this is a huge time saver if you are just browsing through the menus).  The next new feature is Audio feeds/Podcasts which is not available yet, but is coming soon(according to the app).  This will be a great new feature for sites that have podcasts and it will attract a whole new audience that loves audio.  Viigo 3.0 has everything; it now sports searchable flight status, provided by FlightStats.com, and a local classified search feature which lets you search anything from cars, to jobs, which is provided by Kijiji.  The local search feature is still being updated and only has major cities, but is still a very cool feature.

Another small new feature is just the design of the pages and links, everything is smooth bodied (Windows-ish).  It now also shows you what channel and the backed links it took you to get there so you always know where to find it.  In all, there were some huge changes such as : the audio/podcasts, flight stats, local search , which are awesome new additions.  In addition to these, everything is just so much more simple to use and navigate through, it’s terrific!!  Viigo is still the best and I can’t wait to see what they have next for us.  Video maybe!!!??!
