T-Mobile will Not be Carrying the Bold

We have some very upsetting news from BBN.  It kills me to have to be reporting on this, but unfortunately us T-Mobile users will probably not be getting the Blackberry Bold.  The flagship of Blackberry phones, we will not have.  This news apparently comes from very high up.  The soft word is that T-mobile may eventually carry a custom version of a 9000 series, but it is speculation at this point.

This is a huge mistake on their part, especially since they are already getting two phones(Curve 8900 and Pearl Flip 8220) that will be exclusive to T-Mobile in the U.S.  We wonder why will they not spring for RIM’s first 3G phone?  Why does T-mobile not want to have a 3G Blackberry?  Is it because they are getting the G1?  Are they going to be taking after AT&T and promote only one flagship phone?  We don’t really know at this point, but we hope they get with the program and change their mind.

I am praying that I will get to use a legitimate Blackberry Bold in the near future.  Yes yes, I have been using a Blackberry Bold on T-Mobile without 3G .  Well, I will be getting a Pearl Flip when that drops, as well as a Curve 8900, but I want a Bold even if it’s not 3G.  We’ll keep our fingers crossed.
