stormprice BlackBerry Storm Pricing Up on Verizons Test Page

Great news Stormies, but be weary.  Verizon has some pricing pages for the Storm on a test page on their site.  As of yet, this is the closest to the real pricing that we have seen which will be; $219 for a 2 year contract, $289 for a 1 year contract, and $519 straight up.

As we all know, I am kind of a skeptic until official news comes out, even with evidence such as this.  The issue I have is that the Storm should retail for more than the Bold, or at the least the same price, which would be around $550.  This would only make sense because the phone is newer, has pretty much the same features, and is a touch screen, so it would make perfect sense.  On the other hand, Verizon might be smarter than I would have thought and priced it lower to draw customers away from AT&T and the rest of the carriers while they have the exclusivity on the Storm.  At this point, no one really knows, this could just be another sneaky leak from Verizon to hype the phone up more and then come time of release, oh that wasn’t a real price, it was just a test page.  I guess that it remains to be seen, but this man will remain weary until something official comes out.  If I had to put a date on it, I would say that the official pricing, if this is not it, will be out within a week due to the private Storm sale starting the 17th.

VZW has a history of Sunday launches, so the 23rd is my bet. The day after the private sale. Plus they just MUST have this thing in stores (including Best Buy) for Black Friday.

If true, this shows Verizon is willing to subsidize a Blackberry more than ATT is willing I guess. But I also suspect the screen on Bold is more costly than on Storm due to the higher pixel density meaning higher quality lcd panel.
