Vodafone and Wind Launch 8900 in Italy

AHH!! What’s up with all these double the fun launches?   France does is and Italy is right behind them.  Vodafone Italy and Wind both announced their launch.

Vodafone Italy launched the Curve 8900 today.  Pricing will be:

The BlackBerry Curve 8900 smartphone is available for any customer at 429€ through Vodafone Italia in both online and retail shops.

Vodafone Italia customers need to subscribe to the Vodafone Pack for BlackBerry data plan, which enables customers to make use of BlackBerry Internet Service and enables access to the Internet, email, Instant Messenging (IM) and a wide range of mobile applications. The Vodafone Pack for BlackBerry plan is available at the price of 10€ per month for post-paid customers and 3€ per week for pre-paid customers.

The new BlackBerry Curve 8900 is available for free to business customers that connect for a minimum of 24 months on a 19€ per month data plan, which includes connection to BlackBerry Internet Service. The BlackBerry Curve 8900 smartphone is also available as part of the Vodafone Mio Business Tutto data plan for BlackBerry Enterprise Server for an additional 7€ fee. All prices exclude VAT.

I cannot figure out Vodafone Italia’s website so I do not have all the non-business customer pricing but the above is from the press release.

Wind announced that they are launching the Curve 8900 on February 2nd.  Wind will be pricing the new Curve at 399€ for prepaid customers or 13€/month for postpaid customers.

Pre-paid Wind customers connecting the BlackBerry Curve 8900 smartphone on BlackBerry® Internet Service before 8th March 2009 are privy to a free three-month trial. New post-paid Wind customers connecting the BlackBerry Curve 8900 on BlackBerry Internet Service before 8th March 2009, are privy to a free six-month trial.
