*This review is a two for one review.  Both of these themes are the same except for the subject, one is guitar themed and one is piano.

Initial Look:
These are two themes that I came across that I thought I might enjoy.  I enjoy the piano and the guitar, so that is why I chose to review this theme.  This theme does not jump out at you initially however, it has a decent balance between the subject of the theme and the design.  Particularly what saves these themes is that the home screen icons are in a musical note-esque arrangement.  Also, for the homepage only, when you scroll over each icon, they bounce as if a musical note is being played.  When you make a call there is a small icon of a piano/guitar in the corner of the call box which is kind of cool.  When you receive a call the caller background is piano keys or guitars depending which theme you are using.

Pros

Now a few of the high points with the themes are that it does run quickly so you aren’t hindered in scrolling speed as you are with some themes.  Another great thing I like about Piano and Guitar is that there are 8 icons on the home screen.  I am a huge fan of the BlackBerry OS 4.5 L theme because it has so many icon spaces on the homepage, but it does not take up much space.  This theme does a similar justice with 8 icon spaces for the home screen.  The icons are pretty small circles and are gray so they do not get in the way of the image.  The whole theme also has a gray color scheme which I like because it is just neutral.  Nothing too bright jumps out at you and makes your retina’s go nuts, and it’s not too dark to see the black fonts.

Cons

There are a couple things I am not so hot on.  First the home screen font is a little blah on the Piano theme but I like it on Guitar.  It isn’t terrible, but it doesn’t flow with the theme like it should.  The things that I absolutely do not like are the icon pictures.  The circle shapes are great, but the pictures are hard to determine what icon is for what initially unless you look at the text on the bottom.  The whole point of an icon is to represent something, so when this does not do this adequately it bothers me.  I guess it is just that the images do not jump out at me such as the OS 4.6 icons which all are encased in a square housing but are unmistakable in what they are.

Overall

Overall, I think that these musical themes are great if you are not looking for a feature full theme.  Not everyone likes themes that are super interactive, so for them we have themes such as these.  Any piano or guitar nut would enjoy either of these themes because they are simple and they work.
