If you are like me, you are always wondering which devices are the most popular? Well RCRWireless.com just put out a great article answering just that. A company called Avain Research LLC conducted a curvey which took all the retail store sales for mobile devices. The information was gathered by the big 4 of the US wireless industry: AT&T, Verizon Wireless, Sprint Nextel Corp. and T-Mobile USA Inc. Here are the results:
Note: This is only retail store sales, so it does not include: online sales, third party retailers, second hand sales etc.
- BlackBerry Curve 83xx Series
- Apple iPhone
- BlackBerry Storm
- LG Voyager
- LG Dare
- BlackBerry Bold
- Samsung Rant
- Samsung Behold
- Samsung Instinct
- LG Env2
Staggering, I would have never guessed this list. I mean, I know that all these phones sell well and that this isn’t the greatest survey conducted, but I did not realize that the Curve would be number 1. What happened to the days of the Razr’s and the Nokia’s? I’ll tell you what, the age of the smartphone.
Tell us what you think.
