twitterberry1 TwitterBerry gets a Beta Update to 0.9 w/ Change Log

TwitterBerry was the first BlackBerry Twitter client that I used when I first got on Twitter.  I was not very impressed with it.  I guess that the fault for me wasn’t TwitterBerry, but Twitter.  I didn’t really understand Twitter at first, so TwitterBerry just wasn’t going to do it for me.  Now they have an updated beta version and I am willing to give it a go once again.  I am an avid SocialScope user because it is easy and does Facebook updates at the same time.  I do however have a personal Twitter account and a BerryReporter account, so I can use this one for TwitterBerry.  I love the layout of the friends timeline and everything seems to work alright for now.  Here are a list of the changes from the previous version:

  • OS 4.2.1+: Includes improved TwitPic support. Look for the ‘Send to TwitterBerry’ menu in the Media application when viewing images. TwitPic uploads are sent over direct TCP connections, see ‘Connection Help’ in the Settings page
  • OS 4.2.1+: TwitPic progress bar, to show the progress of the upload
  • OS 4.3.0+: WiFi support for all connections
  • Full tweets on the list screen. No need to click to open new tweets
  • Improved network connectivity, adding support for WAP 2.0
  • Hyperlink “@username” in tweets to visit their timeline
  • Re-Tweet tweets from timelines or tweet views
  • Optional HTTPS SSL support on all authenticated requests
  • Background on close under ‘Configure’
  • Multiple bug fixes
  • New localizations: Portuguese
