Tip of the Day# 14 - How to do a handheld device wipe – If you ever want to start fresh with your BlackBerry but don’t feel like completely reformatting your phone, then do a handheld device wipe. You have the option to clear all the info off your BlackBerry from an option on the phone, even 3rd party apps. This means that your BlackBerry will basically be back to factory settings with your OS still there. Sound good? Here’s how:
Step 1. Go to your Options.
Step 2. Scroll down to Security Options.
Step 3. Click General Settings.
Step 4. Press the Menu key and then Wipe Handheld. It will then give you the option to wipe 3rd party applications as well, check the box if you prefer to do so.
You are done and should have a fresh Berry.
