RIM BlackBerry Curve 8900 3 BlackBerry Curve is King of Smartphones

The BlackBerry Curve series is once again outselling all other smartphones including the iPhone.  In a recent study conducted by IDC Research , a global market intelligence firm, results showed that the BlackBerry Curve smartphone outsold all others in the US during the second quarter of 2009.   This is not necessarily a huge shocker as the Curve has been big dog for awhile now.  What is shocking is that the iPhone 3GS is still behind the Curve but that might change in the coming months.

If you take a closer look at the list you can see that four BlackBerry smartphones landed in the top ten.  This further proves the point that RIM and the BlackBerry phone will be hear for a long time.  It will be interesting to see how the 9000 series does when the new numbers come out.  I personally think the Tour is the best BlackBerry yet and the Bold is not too far behind.  You can also expect some big things from RIM in the future as they are currently trying to patent a new touch screen technology that will change the game.
