OS 4.6.0.297 Officially Released for the BlackBerry Bold

The big OS update from AT&T, OS 4.6.0.297 has officially been released.  This update is rather significant because for the first time Bold users will have visual voicemail.  The update also brings new icon images for a variety applications and the ability to manually select between 2G and 3G networks.

The visual voicemail enhancement is a nice new feature but with the amount of users who already use YouMail and other similar applications it’s not a huge thing.

If you want to download the new OS update wirelessly simply go to Options>Advanced Options>Wireless Update. (via Bold)
