Verizon Practically Giving Away the BlackBerry Storm

It’s not a huge surprise that Verizon Wireless has decided to drop the price of the BlackBerry Storm, after all the Storm 2 is only a month away. What is a surprise is the price ($49.99) and the free BlackBerry that comes along with it. That’s a pretty good deal if you ask me but what’s the catch here, is the Storm inventory really that high? It would certainly seem that way and it definitely makes a hard decision for someone looking to by a BlackBerry. They could hold out for the Storm 2 which is due sometime in October or go with the deal and have the Storm plus another high quality BlackBerry.
The “Buy One Get One Free” deal lets you choose between four BlackBerry models. You can add the Curve 8330 in silver or pink, go old school with the 8703e, choose the Flip 8230 or 8830 World Edition and even grab a second Storm. One thing is for sure this just reconfirms the rumors that BlackBerry Storm 2 is just around the corner and it’s only a mater of time before the original Storm becomes a thing of the past.
