Opera Mini - The most popular mobile phone browser in the world_1253087145501The world’s most popular mobile browser has been upgraded as Opera Mini 5 beta is now available to download.  The latest version has several new features and improvements that will enhance your mobile browsing experience.

As was the case with previous versions, beta 5 offers fast page loading and an easy to navigate interface.  It now supports a built in search feature that lets you find things quicker and offers enhancements to power scrolling for fast navigation.

Two of the biggest additions to the latest Opera Mini are the ability to tab browsers and the new speed dial bookmark feature.  Tabbed browsing has now become a must have feature on web browsers and Opera has perfected it for mobile use.  Speed dial is the name for the virtual bookmark feature.  You can now view numerous websites from one page and Opera Mini will even make bookmark suggestions related to your browsing history.

  • I love Opera Mini as its the only good browser for a Blackberry Curve, but its a good amount laggier/more bloated than 4.2.Running latest 4.5.0.162 build 255 btw.
  • it's awesome you know, it will speed up to browsing
  • Amazing, expectacular! I'm trying OM5 right now and I find it unbeatable. I'm very very happy with it.
  • I have both Opera mini and Opera mobile. Although it was lacking a couple of years ago, Opera mini is now so good, I regret paying for Opera mobile.

I look forward to Mini 5 when it is out of beta.
