RestartMe is a new free application that lets you restart your BlackBerry from your menu screen. This is by far the best way to reboot your device and all it really takes is a click from the icon. S4BB are the creators of this application as they continue to release top notch BlackBerry apps for free.
There are a couple different ways that you can reboot your BlackBerry. You can press and hold ALT + CAPS (right shift button) + DEL all at the same time, which is a little complicated. Alternatively you can remove the battery and place it back in, this is also called the battery pull. Out of these techniques it’s obvious that RestartMe offers the best option for rebooting your phone.
As you know there are times when you will need to restart your BlackBerry. When you encounter a screen freeze your only option is to perform a battery pull but restarting your device will also affect the performance. Just like a computer it’s a good idea to reboot your BlackBerry every couple of days, this will help your device in the long run. A reset is also the best choice if you notice your battery draining faster than usual. There are other advantages to the reset but the bottom line is the new RestartMe application is the best way to get it done.
