Verizon OS 5.0 for the BlackBerry Storm 9530 Now Available

stormos 50 300x193 Verizon OS 5.0 for the BlackBerry Storm 9530 Now AvailableGood news for all the Verizon BlackBerry Storm 9530 owners out there.  OS update 5.0.0.328 is now officially available to download.  We originally thought they might push out OS version .323 but it looks like they knocked it up a notch.  Verizon Storm 9530 users can upgrade through BlackBerry Desktop Manager or via web upgrade on the Verizon website.

As previously stated this OS update will bring significant changes to the BlackBerry Storm 9530.  Along with some of the most noticeable changes like flick scrolling and threaded SMS comes some important maintenance fixes.  For instance they have fixed video player problems and have cleared up SMS and MMS issues.  You will also notice improvements to screen rotation and enhancements to the virtual keyboard.

    i was running os 5.0 230 and loved it. the 3g icon is gone, keyboard popup is gone a feature i loved, the sling shot feature is also gone, im not running any third party apps and only have 26mg app memory, im going to down grade to os 5.0 230 best os i ever used
