BlackBerry Curve 2 on the Horizon

Now that we have an official release date for the Verizon BlackBerry Storm 2 it’s only fitting we have another new device to talk about.  With the holiday season just around the corner we have some new details about the Verizon BlackBerry Curve 8530.  BGR got the inside scoop on Verizon’s holiday lineup and it features the all new Curve 2.

We previously heard rumors that Verizon would nickname the 8530 as the Curve 2 and now we know this is the case.  In theory the Curve 8900 should really be named the Curve 2 but in terms of Verizon this is their second big Curve device.  It will be Wi-Fi ready which is always a huge plus and will be more of a media friendly BlackBerry.  We don’t have any knowledge on a release date but earlier in the year we did hear rumors about the end of November so stay tuned.
