New App from Vodafone Looks to Challenge SocialScope

Vodafone is showing us that they are much more than just a carrier as they recently unveiled a new social networking app. It is appropriately named Vodafone Update and it’s designed to integrate your Twitter and Facebook accounts into one handy app, sound familiar? Vodafone Update looks very similar to SocialScope and it’s almost like a watered down version of the popular social networking app. With Vodafone Update you can read messages, update the status of your Twitter and Facebook accounts and even use the integrated Twitpic feature to upload and send photos.
It’s an impressive little app that just might start a trend of carrier specific BlackBerry applications. Vodafone Update is free and is currently available for the BlackBerry Bold and the Curve 8900. Just because it is made by Vodafone doesn’t mean it won’t work on any other networks or any other phones. Some users have already successfully downloaded the app on Verizon and AT&T and it also seems to be working fine on other BlackBerry models.

This is actually pretty decent don’t know if it can challenge socialscope but I got it working on my verizon Tour.
