T-Mobile Set to Release the BlackBerry Bold 9700 on Nov 16th

It looks like all those T-Mobile release date rumors were legit as they are getting set to release the BlackBerry Bold 9700 on November 16th.  This is according to a leaked statement that tmonews found on T-Mobile’s internal systems.

” This Holiday, T-Mobile is scheduled to launch the first 3G BlackBerry with Wi-Fi calling, the BlackBerry Bold 9700, on November 16. The Bold 9700 launched on November 9 in the Business channel only.

The sleek and powerful BlackBerry Bold 9700 features a next-generation (624 MHz) processor, 256 MB Flash memory, Built-in GPS, Visual Voice Mail, a 3.2 megapixel camera, full-QWERTY keyboard with an innovative touch-sensitive optical trackpad.”

Today we also heard that T-Mobile stores have received their shipments of the new Bold 9700.  Which is good thing and BGR is reporting each store will be receiving a minimum of 25 units so there should be plenty to go around.  You can grab the new 9700 on T-Mobile for $199 with a two-year contract.

  • Isn't the t-mobile version of the bold running on UMTS at 1.7GHz? Therefore, folks who are hoping to buy this one outright and then use it say the AT&T network need to be aware that there may be network frequency issues.

    It seems, from Blackberry.com that there is two versions of the Bold:


    UMTS: 2100/1900/850/800 MHz (Bands 1,2,5/6)
    UMTS: 2100/1700/900 MHz (Bands 1,4,8)


    with the second one, presumably being the one that will be sold on T-Mobile? Blackberry.com of course are not 100% clear on this&hellip?
