It’s been a long time coming but Flixster has finally released a full native BlackBerry application. The previous version of the Movies by Flixster BlackBerry app was more of a web launcher as it just took you to their mobile website. It did have some nice features but it was a pain waiting for the site to load and it had some minor bugs.
Movies by Flixster has been a huge success on the iPhone/Facebook platforms and the BlackBerry version has many of the same features. Users can easily search for the latest movies in their area as the app will automatically update your location. You can also watch high quality full length trailers (only available on some devices) and read movie reviews from the critics. Best of all it is faster and you will no longer have to wait for long page loads. Flixster is the best place to find information about the latest movies and share your opinions with millions of movie lovers.
Note: It seems that BlackBerry users with early OS versions are having trouble with this new version. Make sure you have the latest OS before you install.

I had the 8900 and was able to download the full app but since I’ve had my 9700, it will only give the launcher. When will the app be available for the 9700?
