BlackBerry Media Sync has always been a must have companion to the BlackBerry Desktop Manager.  The ability to quickly sync your media to your phone is a feature that helped the BlackBerry become more than just a business phone.  Today BlackBerry Media Sync was updated to version 3.0 and the question we all have is, what’s new?

Well for starters it looks like RIM has listened to all our requests about adding a two-way sync feature for our photos.  BlackBerry users can now sync their photos both ways and control what photos they want to transfer.  If you’re an everyday BlackBerry user it is likely that you have more than a few photos on your phone and the same goes for your PC.  Let’s not forget about all that music you listen to, after all when you talk about media you’re also talking about all those tunes you have.  Version 3.0 is both Windows Media Player and iTunes compatible.  You also now have more control than ever over all your music files with options for specific playlists and a random song selection feature.

BlackBerry Media Sync has also undergone some nice changes to its UI.  Users will notice less pop-ups and the ability to view songs in playlists with the new side pane section.  Best of all performance has been improved with better memory usage and a new memory meter.  It will probably take a couple of more versions for BlackBerry Media Sync to include everything we are looking but with version 3.o we are almost there.
