If you own a BlackBerry chances are you have tried out a free theme or maybe even bought one.  BlackBerry themes have become a huge phenomenon and they are a great way to add some personal style to your device.  There are literally thousands of themes out there and almost anything you can think of has been made into a BlackBerry theme.  For instance, this time every year we get bombarded with Holiday themes.  Every theme developer creates some sort of Christmas theme for the community to enjoy and it has become somewhat of a tradition.  Take a look at HedoneDesign’s SnowTime theme, it will add animated snow to your homescreen.

A BlackBerry is never complete until you equip it with some sort of case.  There are so many different cases out there it is mind blowing.  If you’re looking for protection go grab an Otterbox.  If style is more your thing than check out what CaseMate has to offer and if you want a mix of both Seidio’s Innocase series is a popular choice.  Some might say a case is unnecessary but consider this, you pay all that money for a BlackBerry why not pay $20 more to protect your investment?

Apps, apps and more apps

Let’s face it, without apps a BlackBerry would be pretty boring.  Apps are something you can never get enough of and are as much a part of the BlackBerry as anything.  They are also handy utilities that can help your phones performance and free up valuable memory.  You should be looking for new apps everyday whether it’s in the BerryReporter App Store or in BlackBerry App World.  Sure there are some pricey ones out there but don’t forget about all the free apps that are available.  We have over 170 free apps in our store so there are plenty to go around.  One of the more pricey ones is TetherBerry but when you consider what it can do it really is remarkable.  Be careful not to be get carried away after all having tons of apps will affect your performance.  The best thing to do is install the apps you need first, then after that add apps you enjoy but aren’t really necessary.
