When working right the trackball will easily let you navigate around your BlackBerry but as soon as a little dirt gets in you can forget about it. Thankfully RIM realized it was too much of hassle for users and they created the trackpad as a replacement. Still though there are a ton of older models that utilize the trackball and if you’re part of the T-Mobile family you’re going to love what they have planned.
Starting February 15th T-Mobile will launch a free trackball replacement program. Only BlackBerry Pearl 8100/8120 and Curve 8320 owners will qualify. If you want to take advantage of this program you must have an official T-Mobile branded device. This seems like a fair deal and hey if you’re still rockin’ one of those older models you deserve a new trackball.
