BOLT Web Demo Shortcuts

BOLT provides a set of intuitive keystroke shortcuts for easier navigation and content selection. The shortcuts are:

  • 0 – Favorites
  • 1 – Home
  • 2 – Scroll Up
  • 3 – Enter URL. Select Close URL from Menu or navigate past the last item in the list to close the URL bar
  • 4 – Scroll Left
  • 5 – Toggle between full-screen and split-screen view
  • 6 – Scroll Right
  • 7 – Find in page
  • 8 – Scroll Down
  • 9 – Forward
  • * – History, or loads the device Edit window when in URL bar or Find in page
  • # – Show Feeds
  • – Back button (held for 2 seconds): Shows recent history
  • – Long press the enter/call key or tap-and-hold: Enables the copy mode

Open any link in HTML email with BOLT browser

BOLT BlackBerry Launcher is a separate installer with BOLT for BlackBerry devices having BlackBerry OS version 4.3 and above. After installation, it will make BOLT the default browser by opening any link in plain-text email or SMS/MMS, in BOLT.

To find that BlackBerry Launcher is installed on you device please follow the steps below:
- Select “Options”
- Select “Applications” from “Advance Options”
If installed, it will display BBLauncher.

To open any link in HTML email with BlackBerry Launcher follow the steps below:
1. Open Messages application
2. Select any link in the email sent in HTML format
3. Open Menu, If “Get Link in BOLT” option does not appear in menu please follow the below steps
4. Select option ‘Get Plain text’ in menu
6. Select the link in plain text and open the menu
7. “Get Link in BOLT” option will appears in menu
8. Select option “Get Link in BOLT”
9. BOLT will launch and open the link
