How To Format a MicroSD Card From Your Device
By Andrew on Jun 21, 2010 with 3
If you’re looking to wipe your microSD card clean, there is a simple on-device option that will complete the format process for you without having to connect to a computer or use a card reader. Before formatting your memory card, be sure that you’ve saved any content that you don’t want to lose, as this process will permanently delete the contents of the card.
To format your microSD card from your handset, go to Options and select Memory
Once in the Memory menu, press the menu key and select Format
Confirm that you want to delete all contents from the media card by selecting Yes
Depending on the size of the memory card and amount of information stored on it, this process could take a few minutes. Once completed, you will receive a confirmation message. Your media card is now completely wiped and ready to have content loaded on it!
