BlackBerry Torch Launching September 21st in Canada?

It looks like we have a bit more information regarding the Canadian launch of the BlackBerry Torch, as 3 launch parties are set to take place beginning September 21st in Toronto. Vancouver will be getting one of their own on the following day, with Montreal set for the 23rd.
The launch events will allow attendees to learn everything they need to know about the Torch and BlackBerry 6, in addition to games and a total of 75 Torch giveaways throughout the 3 events.
No confirmation as of yet that the Torch will officially launch on the 21st, but it’s likely give the launch events that are planned. Canadians, what do you think about the Torch 9800? Will you be picking one up?

I saw another rumour about Oct 1st being the UK release date… and it sounds like this event is for those that sell Blackberry devices… and it stands to reason that RIM would be giving people sales supporting info PRIOR to the actual launch date… so I’m going with these 3 events being prior to the official release, and that carriers in Canada will be selling the device as of October 1st, 2010 (the day AFTER most of the “$30 for 6 GB” offers are no longer available!)
