Today we introduce to you the Berry Reporter mobile launcher for your BlackBerry!.  The Berry Reporter mobile launcher is a mobile icon shortcut that takes you directly to our website.  You no longer have to go through your internet browser on your phone, click the BR icon and it takes you there!  This launcher is brought to you by Berry Reporter and Fabian Heuwieser, the same guy that created the popular application VibandRing and SaveNumberAs.  If you have any issues with installing or using this, please let us know.  Download your BR Launcher now!

Downloading the Berry Reporter mobile launcher to your phone is very simple.

Step 1. Go to the our website berryreporter.com on your BlackBerry and click the link at the top of the page or the top right (depending on your OS) marked Mobile Launcher.

Step 2. Scroll down to where it says Download: OTA | ZIP and click OTA.

Step 3. Your browser should automatically go to the download screen, this is where you click download again.

Step 4. Go to your homescreen menu and you should see the red Berry Reporter icon as the above image shows.  If you do not see it, check your download folder and move it onto the home screen.  If you still do not see it,

  • Go to your Options
  • Then Advance Options
  • Click Applications, it should be listed as Shortcut.  If it is not there contact us or install it to your device using BlackBerry Desktop Manager.

To install using BlackBerry Desktop Manager follow these steps:

Step 1. Download the ZIP file from this page and then unzip it

  • Make sure that when you unzip it, that you keep the .cod file and the .alx file together in the same folder

Step 2. Connect your BlackBerry to your computer using the USB cable that came with your device

Step 3. Open up Desktop Manager

Step 4. Click on the Application Loader, then click Start below Add/Remove Applications

Step 5. Then a list of your current third party applications should show up.  Click browse below the list and go to the folder where you put the launcher files.  It is very important that you keep the .cod file and .alx file together or else you will not find it in the browse section.

Step 6. Double click the brl_1.0.alx file

Step 7. Click next at the bottom right of the page, and then click finish.

*If this is the only application you are loading it should take a minute at the most.

Step 8. Go find your sexy new Berry Reporter launch icon in your menu or your downloads file and see how you like it!!
