Contest!: Are You An iPhone Hater? Tell Us Why
*Update: All contests will be extended until the end of the week!
So I’ve had a troublesome time coming up with the contests for our grand opening week, but I have one for today! So being a loyal BlackBerry addict (Crackberry if you will) it is assumed that one must be an avid iPhone hater. I know I am. We have all read the articles on why the BlackBerry is a superior smartphone blah blah technical aspects, but what I want to know is why you personally would choose a BlackBerry over an iPhone or why you have a personal vendetta against the iPhone. Disregard the factors of business (because that is an obvious deal breaker). Your reasoning can be as simple as, I don’t like phones without buttons (but that probably won’t win. I’ve been known to go on some long heated rants on the subject, so make them good. The 2 people with the best explanations will get 2 Prizes:
- 1 4GB SanDisk Micro SDHC memory card
- Your choice of VibandRing, BlinkWhileCall, or SaveNumberAs courtesy of developer Fabian Heuwieser
So think about it and post it in the comment section of this post. Don’t miss out!! The winners will be announced Wednesday and their answers will be posted.
This contest ends tomorrow 10/21/08 at 1pm PST

I’m a iphone hater because it doesn’t do the one of the simplest feauter that most cell phones have and which I use often, able to send/receive MMS.
i hate the iphone because there is no MMS and no copy and pasting on the phone. Also because unlocking the phone got difficult
I just can’t stand a flat screen phone ! Some of my buddies have the Instinct or the Iphone and they are finger print magnets! Along with that the devices are not to rugidized by any means! I work outside and need a phone that can stand some punishment! Thumbs of steal are fast for those quick emails back to a co worker not single peck typing ,type , type using a keyboard that is displayed on the screen and my fat fingers hit two keys instead of the one I wanted. Then you have to try and nicely use your fingernail to hit the backspace delete to get back to where you want to be. When I tried an iphone in the store the look up feature for editing would not bring me back to the place I wanted to edit 90 percent of the time! I want a berry for getting things done! Email, text, PIM !! Unlike a lot of people that say the interface is lacking I love the blackberry interface. People cry for fancier looking screens and effects but all that does it slow the device down and take up memory! Don’t get me started on copy and paste I just can’t believe that Steve Jobs doesn’t see that as important! If he wants to break into the business world he is going to have to add copy and paste for sure !! Lack of replaceable battery Aghhhh.,. I need a drink you got me worked up…. ( Tritan takes out his hammer and smashes his computer and walks away)
Business use or TOY??? Well I’m in my mid 30’s and work in a professional setting so I don’t need a toy. I can’t stand the iphone! I’m not one for a flat screen phone. I’ve grown use to typing on a qwerty keyboard. I’ve tried the Iphone but the learning curve is more than I can stand. I need some type of feedback when I’m pressing on the screen. The BB Storm is going in the right direction for feedback when the screen is pressed. I the iphone is great for teens but not applicable for a business approach. I need to be able to get my emails and respond quickly. Check e-mail with attachments, BIM, etc. Blackberry does a dang good job at that. If I wanted a phone that I can play driving and bowling games on, then the iphone would be for me, NOT. Oh, it takes great pictures…I have a Cannon digital camera for that. Bottom line, I don’t need a toy. I need a phone that can get the job done. Blackberry all the way!!!!!
