BlackBerry Celebrates Their 35th Birthday Today!

Today is a big day in the world of BlackBerry. On this day back in 1984, BlackBerry, then Research in Motion, was founded in Waterloo Canada by Mike Lazaridis and Douglas Fregin. Back in 1984, Research in Motion had one simple mission, to change how the world communicated.  RIM became the first wireless data technology developer in North America and the first company outside of Scandinavia to develop connectivity products for Mobitex wireless packet-switched data connection networks. The released products like the DigiSync Film KeyKode Reader, the first Mobitex protocol converter during this early journey.  Of course one of the biggest products that made BlackBerry/RIM famous was, of course, the BlackBerry smartphones we have all come to love. BlackBerry is not stopping its mission even to this day with its mobility software and by becoming the leaders in CyberSecurity.

To celebrate this special day Inside BlackBerry Blog posted a great article that looks back and past years of BlackBerry, the present, and the future of BlackBerry. There is also a great list of videos from celebrities, entrepreneurs, business owners, and the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau.

From BerryReporter.com, I would like to personally wish BlackBerry a happy 35th Birthday!
