BlackBerry CEO John Chen Talks AT&T Exclusivity for the BlackBerry Priv and the Role it Plays in BlackBerry’s Success

Priv Alone

The BlackBerry Priv has been out for two weeks and we have been seeing BlackBerry CEO John Chen out on his own marketing the device.  The other day Chen talked with CNBC about the BlackBerry Priv and how it plays an important role in the success of BlackBerry’ comeback.  He also discussed the rumored exclusivity that AT&T has on the BlackBerry Priv here in the US.   We have been wondering why Verizon has been waiting to release the BlackBerry Priv and this seems to be the reason. AT&T, according to John Chen, has a limited exclusivity on the BlackBerry Priv that will last until most of this calendar year.

John Chen also makes note of his talks with T-Mobile CEO John Legere and his confidence in T-Mobile working with BlackBerry to carry the BlackBerry Priv. It is a pretty good interview with some great information from John Chen, who as always answers questions straight forward. Check out the interview below!

Too bad AT&The doesn’t even stock the phone in stores, and salespeople seem to know nothing about the phone or that it’s even available! Now THAT’S exclusive!!!
