Just the other day we saw BlackBerry roll out an update for the BlackBerry Password Keeper that included Android 8.0+ support. Well, it looks like BlackBerry has also decided to bring support to the other apps in the BlackBerry Hub+ apps at least to beta users. Updates are available for the BlackBerry Hub, BlackBerry Hub+ Services, Notes by BlackBerry, Tasks by BlackBerry, and the BlackBerry Launcher.
BlackBerry Hub
- For administrators: BlackBerry Hub’s userAgent has now changed to Android on all devices, including BlackBerry devices
- Improved performance on devices running Android version 8.0 or later
- Choose to include sent messages when you file an email conversation
BlackBerry Hub+ Services
- No longer requests access to your location when you install BlackBerry Hub+ Services
- Minor enhancements and stability fixes
Notes by BlackBerry
- Create a new note by typing a title in the search field
Tasks by BlackBerry
- Create a new note by typing a title in the search field
BlackBerry Launcher
- Bug fixes and minor enhancements
Now again these are all beta updates so they will only be available to those who are part of the BlackBerry Hub+ Beta program. It is nice to see BlackBerry getting everything ready for Android 8.0+ to come to BlackBerry Android devices, as it should mean we are getting close to seeing it!
