Leaked Rogers OS Upgrade Schedule Shows Android Oreo 8.0 its Coming Soon to the BlackBerry KEYone

We have known for quite some time now that Android 8.0 Oreo will be making its way to the BlackBerry KEYone and the BlackBerry Motion.  TCL and BlackBerry Mobile have come out saying that this would happen ever since Google announced Android 8.0 Oreo.  The big question on everyone’s mind, of course, is when will it be available. Other Android manufacturers have already started rolling out Android 8.0 to their device, like Samsung. With BlackBerry Android, we know that BlackBerry has to carefully configure Android and add all the security features that keep BlackBerry Android devices safe a secure, but many are wondering why it is taking so long. Well, it looks like we might not have to wait much longer.

According to a Leaked OS Upgrade schedule from Rogers in Canada, Rogers is preparing to roll out Android 8.0 Oreo to BlackBerry KEYone Rogers owners. Now the document shows that it is coming soon, which doesn’t give us much information. However, it does show that carriers might be planning to roll it out to users, which means BlackBerry has already informed them that it is close to ready. While the list doesn’t mention the BlackBerry Motion, I would be surprised if the Motion wasn’t updated right around the same time that the BlackBerry KEYone does. If I was betting man, I would bet that the BlackBerry KEYone and BlackBerry Motion should be seeing Android 8.0 Oreo around the same time that the BlackBerry KEY2 is announced or released.  I know it is hard to wait but looks like we need to keep doing so, stay tuned!
