November Android Security Update Causing Battery Drains?

Have you been experiencing poor battery life on your BlackBerry Android device after the recent Security updates? It seems you aren’t the only one.  Many Android users that are running the November 2017 Security update are reporting a significant battery drain ever since installing the update.

It seems that changes made in the updates are causing Google Play Services to report an odd increase in battery usage.  Some users are reporting that Google Play Services is draining 30%-90% battery life. I also seems to be doing most of the drain while connected to a Wifi network.

If you are looking for a fix, some users have claimed that clearing the Cache data in the Google Play Services has helped.   Other than that the only other fix is to wait for Google to release December’s Security update and hope they catch the bug.

As for personal experience, I haven’t been noticing any drains on my battery life.  What about you? Let us know in the comments below!
